Andrea Hoke of Miss Andrea Quilts, presents,
"A Love of Quilting, A Love of Teaching"
Tuesday, March 17, 7PM, Lower Makefield Township Community Center
Andrea Hoke has been sewing ever since she was a little girl. Fortunate to have a mother who was a Home Economics teacher, she learned to sew and do needlework at a very young age. She grew up sewing her own clothes, participating in 4-H club, and entering her creations in the local county fair.
A Sampler Quilt class in 1991 awakened Andrea’s love of quilting, and she has been stitching quilts ever since. She enjoys all forms of quilting, including hand and machine piecing, appliqué, and hand and machine quilting. She has entered her quilts in the Elizabethtown Fair almost every year for the past 25 years.
“Modern Traditionalist” best describes Andrea’s style. She loves all things vintage, which is reflected in her work. The exploding online quilting community has only fueled her passion for quilting, and as a result, she has “more quilts in her brain than she will be ever be able to stitch in this lifetime!” Andrea enjoys sharing her knowledge and experience and delights in introducing sewing and quilting to others. Guests: $5 at the door.

Becca Fenstermaker, Sugar Sand Quilt Company: “Find Your U-F-Flow”
Tuesday, April 21, 7PM, Lower Makefield Township Community Center
A quilter since 2011 who lives on a cranberry farm in southern NJ, Becca Fenstermaker grew up listening to the sound of her mother’s sewing machine as she drifted off to sleep, and later Ishe loved to pet the fabrics at the store where she worked. As an adult, she learned to sew her own maternity pants, then Halloween costumes for her two children, but didn’t take up quilting until after visiting a local show with her mom. She appreciated the beauty of the quilts, of course, but what she became obsessed with was reading the stories that accompanied each piece. Becca’s goal isn’t just to tell her own story, but to inspire others to tell theirs.

-------- 2026 WORKSHOPS ---------
“Blue Onion” Quilt with Andrea Hoke of The Old Country Store
Saturday, March 21, 2026, 10AM-4PM (Morrisville Presbyterian Church, Morrisville, PA)
The Blue Onion swirling blocks are made from a variety of contrasting prints. To change it up - make them out of any 12 contrasting prints that you like. The arcs are long and gentle which makes them easy to sew. Work with 6 different prints at a time to make one set of blocks. This makes it easy to make more, just add to the mix in sets of 6 additional rectangles for 6 additional blocks. Or take a practice run with 6 rectangles and turn it into a table runner!
This class requires the Creative Grids® Ovals All Ways Quilt Ruler and the quilt pattern.
$45 Members/$55 Non-Members (OPEN)

"Learn to Make a Bargello Quilt Using Strips" with Denise Cyhan
Rescheduled - New Date TBD
Ever wonder what a Bargello Quilt is? It's actually a style of needlepoint embroidery that uses upright flat stitches to create designs, traditionally in a “flame stitch”. According to Wikipedia, it originated on patterned chairs found in the Bargello Palace in Florence, Italy. Some smart quilter along the way figured out how to replicate the patterns with fabric to create such strikingly beautiful designs. Join Guild member, Denise Cyhan, as she leads a Zoom class on how to create this beautiful design using fabric strips.
