Quilts of Valor 2026 Block Program
"Echoes" was selected for the 2026 National Block Drive. It was designed and written by Nancy Cann. You can contribute individual blocks following the specific guidelines on their website: www.qovf.org/national-block-drive/ and per the pdf instructions below. Blocks will be collected throughout by Philanthropy throughout the year and at the quilt show to be sent to Quilts of Valor.
These quilt patterns are all approximately 38" x 45" or larger and meant to comfort young children needing a warm hug from a handmade quilt and are the best size for "Quilts for Kids". All patterns are straight-cut pieced quilts which can be put together quickly in a variety of fun colors.
Camp Erin Quilts are intended for twin-sized bunks for kids of all ages. Since the demographics are not known until shortly before the camp, cheerful, multi-colored quilts that are of simple design and no particular theme are easiest to distribute. Preferred size is approximately 50”-55” wide x 65”-70” long. Please no skulls, religious or political symbols.Camp is held each summer so generally quilts will need to be completed by mid-May.
